Meet Our Guest Speaker
HeatherAsh Amara
Best-selling author, mentor, land steward, and philanthropist HeatherAsh Amara
has spent the last three decades weaving together earth-based wisdom, mindfulness,
and practical strategies for creative, courageous, and compassionate individual
and community change. She is the author of nine books, including the bestselling
Warrior Goddess Training series and
The Seven Secrets to Happy and Healthy Relationships with don Miguel Ruiz Jr.
As a master firewalk instructor and former President of the Global Firewalking
Association, the irony is not lost on HeatherAsh that when she found herself
on the frontlines of climate change destruction, it came in the form of a fire.
On April 6, 2022, her life was dramatically altered when what was intended to be
a controlled burn by the U.S. Forest Service became a devastating wildfire that
impacted hundreds of thousands of acres and thousands of structures, including
her own ranch. As she sat with her grief and sang apologies to the trees, she
realized it was time to take action in the ways she could — by using her voice
and global reach to generate positive, meaningful change in her community and
around the world.
She began at home, supporting those around her who had lost homes and livelihoods
by raising funds through her extensive network and donating supplies to those
in need. This marked the beginning of The Center for Creative Intent, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization she founded to offer space and education for community
leaders to retreat, learn, and grow their capacity for leading through change.
Today, HeatherAsh dedicates her time to conversations around stewardship,
anti-racism, and climate change. Her writing can be found on her Substack,
Out of the Fire. When she is home, HeatherAsh plants her feet in
New Mexico, but as a lifelong nomad, she spends much of her time traveling,
teaching, and writing in cafés around the world.
